It appears that the pop-up selfie camera has become the new “in-thing” for 2019 as more manufacturers are including it in their latest models to combat the dreaded notch. Count HONOR in that growing number of manufacturers as their latest model the HONOR 9X comes with one.
The news comes from serial leaker Evan Blass, revealed via his Twitter account @evleaks, the schematic for the HONOR 9X.
Now, the HONOR 9X could just be the company’s answer to Xiaomi’s Mi9T. It should be interesting to see how the HONOR 9X would be priced to stay competitive with the latter.
While it may not have the swanky best-in-class features of its flagship brethren, the HONOR 9X looks to be the typical mid-range smartphone that can help you get by without breaking the bank. Rumour has it the Honor 9X will draw power from a Kirin 810 processor and is paired with a Mali-G52 GPU.
It is also speculated that the HONOR 9X will feature dual-camera set up on the rear.
Apart from that, details are still scant but you won’t have to wait long to see the final specs as the phone is set to launch in China on July 23.
