In addition the Galaxy Z Fold6 and Galaxy Z Flip6, Samsung has launched its latest smartwatches, the Samsung Galaxy Watch7 and Galaxy Watch Ultra, in Malaysia. Both watches boast impressive features and functionalities, catering to different user preferences.
Samsung Galaxy Watch7: Enhanced Health Tracking and Everyday Fitness
The Galaxy Watch7 comes in two sizes, 40mm and 44mm, featuring vibrant Super AMOLED displays with Always-On functionality and protected by Sapphire Crystal glass for added toughness. The Exynos W1000 processor ensures smooth performance. The device features 2GB of RAM and 32GB of storage. The device also features a long-lasting battery: 300mAh for the 40mm model and 435mAh for the 44mm model.
The highlight of the Watch7 is the improved BioActive sensor, offering 30% more accurate readings. The redesigned sensor layout and additional LEDs capture light more effectively. It even boasts Advanced Glycation End Products (AGES) monitoring, providing insights into your metabolic health and biological ageing.
For fitness enthusiasts, the Galaxy Watch7 offers over 100 sports modes. It includes workout tracking features like Work Routine and Race. The watch also provides body composition analysis, measuring fat, protein, BMI, and more. Additionally, it boasts ECG and Blood Pressure monitoring for comprehensive heart health tracking.
The Galaxy Watch7 is water-resistant (5ATM + IP68), military-grade durable (MIL-STD-810H), and supports GPS, Bluetooth 5.3, LTE connectivity, and Samsung Wallet for contactless payments. It runs on One UI Watch based on Wear OS 5. The 40mm version starts at RM1,199 (BT) and RM1,499 (LTE), while the 44mm variant starts at RM1,299 (BT) and RM1,599 (LTE). Samsung Galaxy Watch Ultra: Built for the Extreme
The Galaxy Watch Ultra is Samsung’s answer to rugged smartwatches. It prioritises durability for extreme adventures, exceptional battery life, and a unique emergency system.
The Watch Ultra features a 1.5-inch round AMOLED display with sapphire glass, an Exynos W1000 chip, 2GB of RAM, 32GB of storage, and a massive 590mAh battery lasting up to 100 hours in battery saving mode or 48 hours in normal mode.
The watch has a level 4 titanium body that meets MIL-STD 810H standards, is water-resistant up to 10 ATM (IP68), and can withstand extreme temperatures (-20 to 55 degrees Celsius). Samsung claims it can even be used at high altitudes (up to 9,000 metres) or underwater (down to 500 metres).
The HNBR watch strap prioritises comfort with its shock-absorbing coils and breathable material. It utilises a new one-button hook system for easy removal. The display reaches a staggering 3,000 nits brightness and offers a night mode for comfortable viewing.
The Watch Ultra introduces a new Quick Button for quick app launching. A long press activates an emergency alarm with an 86dB sound to aid rescuers in locating the wearer.
The Galaxy Watch Ultra is priced at RM3,399 in Malaysia, with pre-orders available now and sales starting on the 24th of July. It comes in Dark Grey, Titanium, and White colour options.
