PlayStation 30th Anniversary Edition PS5 and Ps5 Pro Bundles: A Pricey Nod to the Past
Sony has unveiled a pair of limited-edition PlayStation 30th Anniversary bundles, featuring both the upcoming PS5 Pro and the base PS5. These bundles come with a slew of nostalgic accessories, designed to evoke the classic PlayStation 1. While the exact pricing hasn’t been announced, it’s highly likely that the PS5 Pro bundle will carry a hefty price tag.
The PS5 Pro bundle, in particular, is a collector’s dream. The bundle includes a PS1-gray PS5 Pro, along with PS1-style DualSense and DualSense Edge controllers. There’s also a charging station, a PS1-inspired controller cable, and a vertical stand. Additionally, it comes with other limited-edition goodies. Notably, the console doesn’t include a disc drive. However, it does come with a gray plastic cover to conceal the separate white drive.
Based on the estimated MSRP of the included components, it’s reasonable to expect the PS5 Pro bundle to cost around USD999.99 (RM4,209.98) or more. This price tag, combined with the limited production run of 12,300 units, is likely to make it a highly sought-after item among collectors.
For those who prefer the base PS5 but still want to celebrate the 30th anniversary, Sony has an option. They are offering a bundle that includes many of the same accessories as the PS5 Pro bundle. However, this version does not include the DualSense Edge or the charging station. This bundle is expected to be more affordable.
Pre-orders for both bundles will begin on the 26th of September, with the PS5 Pro bundle launching on the 21st of November and the base PS5 bundle launching on the 26th of October.
