Redmagic Nova Goes Global: A Gaming Powerhouse Tablet
Calling all mobile gamers, the Redmagic Nova is here to take your on-the-go experience to the next level. This powerhouse tablet, unveiled earlier in China, is now setting its sights on a global audience.
Redmagic boasts the Nova as the ultimate device for demanding triple-A titles. Here’s why:
- Unmatched Performance: The Nova is powered by the Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 Leading Edition, which is a souped-up version of the flagship chipset. Furthermore, it features a 3.4GHz prime core and a 1GHz GPU. As a result, this makes it as powerful as the top-tier options in the Android world.
- Ice-Cool Gaming: It features a sophisticated 9-layer cooling system, including a 20,000 RPM turbofan! This intricate setup promises a 25°C reduction in core temperature, ensuring sustained performance even during intense sessions.
- Long-Lasting Battery: Powering the Nova is a 10,100mAh battery with 80W fast charging. Redmagic claims that you can expect up to 10 hours of uninterrupted gaming on a single charge. For everyday use, the battery life extends to nearly 19 hours.
- Premium Design: The Nova features a CNC-carved middle frame and anodised back cover are crafted from high-quality materials, offering a premium feel. It’s surprisingly slim at 7.3mm and light at 520g, making it comfortable for extended gaming sessions.
- Immersive Display: The 10.9-inch 2880 x 1800px IPS LCD display has 144Hz refresh rate ensures smooth gameplay, while the 840Hz touch sampling promises precise responsiveness.
- Camera Setup: While not the main focus, the Nova is equipped with a 20MP front-facing camera for video calls and a single 50MP rear camera for capturing those winning moments.
Pricing and Availability
Pre-orders for the Redmagic Nova kick off on the 7th of October through the official website, with general sales starting on the 16th of October. The base model with 12GB RAM and 256GB storage starts at a competitive USD499 (~RM2,058). Opting for the 16GB RAM and 512GB storage variant will set you back USD649 (~RM2,677). Currently, Midnight Black seems to be the confirmed colour option, with rumours of a Silver model as well.

Redmagic has also designed a magnetic keyboard and a stylus specifically for the Nova, although pricing for these haven’t been revealed yet.
