The way we communicate is constantly evolving. From shorthand text messages to emoji-laden social media posts, our writing styles adapt to fit the situation. But what if you could instantly change the tone of your message without all the extra effort? Enter the new generation of chat assistants, Samsung Galaxy AI and ChatGPT. Today, we begin a six-part series where we put these AI marvels to the test in a series of challenges designed to see which reigns supreme in the realm of conversation.
Challenge #1: Writing Style
Imagine you’re crafting a message to a friend, but it needs a little…pep! Wouldn’t it be great if you could transform your plain text into something more exciting? With Galaxy AI, it’s a breeze. Simply type your message (“Let’s Meet, TRX Mall, Ben’s Cookies store”) and hit the Chat Assist button within your keyboard app. A menu offering a variety of writing styles appears – professional, casual, social media friendly (#social), polite, or even emoji-filled! With a single tap, your message transforms to suit the occasion.
Now, let’s see how ChatGPT handles the same task. Here, you’d need to explicitly tell the AI what tone you’re aiming for, adding an extra step to the process. Compared to Galaxy AI’s seamless in-app experience, ChatGPT requires more upfront effort.
Advantage: Samsung Galaxy AI
For its user-friendly interface and one-tap style selection, Galaxy AI takes the first round with a full point. ChatGPT gets a half-point for achieving the same result, but with less convenience.
Stay tuned for Part 2 of the Galaxy AI vs ChatGPT showdown, where we’ll explore how these chat assistants handle other tasks!
