Love it or hate it, Bixby is very much a central part of the Samsung smartphone experience. The voice assistant has been prominently featured in Samsung’s devices since its introduction on the Galaxy S8.
Now via a report from SamMobile, time may be up for Bixby Voice Support on devices running on Android 7 Nougat and Android 8 Oreo.
Come 1 January 2020, devices such as the Galaxy S8, S8+, S8 Active, Note 8, S9, S9+ and A9 2018 running on those older versions of Android will stop getting support.
But the silver lining is that all the aforementioned devices will be getting an Android 9 Pie upgrade so all hope is not lost.
