Bluetooth S Pen Sold Separately
Samsung has unveiled its flagship smartphone, the Samsung Galaxy S25 Ultra, boasting a refined design with a lighter and slimmer profile.
Under the hood, significant upgrades include a larger display, a powerful new processor, and an improved ultrawide camera. However, a notable change has drawn criticism from some fans: the inclusion of a non-Bluetooth S Pen.
This departure from the Bluetooth-enabled stylus found in its predecessor appears to be a strategic business decision. Samsung plans to sell a separate Bluetooth version of the stylus, allowing the company to generate additional revenue.
Evidence of the separate Bluetooth version comes from an official Samsung blog post highlighting the stylus’ productivity features. The post highlights the Bluetooth S Pen’s remote control functionality. It mentions how this feature works with specific apps, such as the camera. Additionally, it notes that the S Pen is now sold separately.
While the standard version, with the model number EJ-PS938BJEGWW, is currently available for pre-order on Samsung’s website at RM160.30, the Bluetooth-enabled version is yet to be listed.
