Nothing Teases Nothing Phone (3a) Launch, Mid-Range Successor Arrives in Early March

Nothing Phone (3a) to Launch in March

Tech startup Nothing has dropped a tantalising teaser video, confirming the imminent arrival of the Nothing Phone (3a). Set to launch in early March, the device will be the latest addition to Nothing’s mid-range smartphone lineup, following the successful debut of the Phone (2a) last year.

While the teaser offers a fleeting glimpse of the phone’s rear panel, specifics remain shrouded in mystery. It’s unclear whether Nothing will follow suit with the Phone (2a) and release a “Plus” variant later on, or if the Phone (3a) will stand alone. Notably, this will be the third iteration of the “a” series, while a sequel to the flagship Phone (1) remains elusive.

Leaked Specs Hint at Powerful Performance

Rumour mills suggest the Phone (3a) will boast a 6.8-inch FHD+ AMOLED display with a smooth 120Hz refresh rate. Powering the device, on the other hand, is likely to be the Snapdragon 7s Gen 3 SoC, promising robust performance. Moreover, a triple rear camera system is expected, featuring a standout 50MP telephoto lens with 2x optical zoom – a first for Nothing. In addition, this will be complemented by a 50MP main sensor and an 8MP ultrawide lens. Meanwhile, for selfies, a 32MP front-facing camera is rumoured.

Battery life is anticipated to be solid, with a 5,000mAh cell supporting 45W fast wired charging. The signature Glyph lights on the rear will likely return, and NFC functionality is expected. The phone is slated to run Nothing OS 3.1 based on Android 15 out of the box.

Launch Details and Availability

Nothing will officially unveil the Phone (3a) on March 4, 2025, at 6 PM local time through a live stream. Interested users can sign up on the official Nothing website to receive alerts and stay updated on the latest news.

The Phone (3a) is expected to be available in two storage configurations: 8GB RAM with 128GB storage and 12GB RAM with 256GB storage. Pricing details will be announced closer to the launch.
